This intensive retreat has been designed for couples who have been impacted by sexual betrayal trauma and have already gone through the reconciliation letter writing process of disclosure, emotional impact letter and restitution (clarification) letter.

In this intensive we bring Carol Juergensen Sheets’s book, “Help.Them.Heal.” to life. The goal of this intensive retreat is to create trust and empathy for couples to heal from sexual betrayal trauma. We will explore the psychoeducation on betrayal trauma impact on the brain, addiction, the three phases of healing for couples including safety, remembering and mourning and reconnecting, triggers, relational skills to acknowledge grief and anger, trust building, post-traumatic growth of the couple, intimacy and so much more.
Intensives include lunches, dinners, snacks, and activities while at the ranch.
Lodging is not included.

Heidi is a masters-level licensed mental health therapist who specializes in working with people who have been affected by sex addiction, infidelity, pornography, and substance abuse.
Heidi believes in creating a safe place for clients to become vulnerable and self-aware so that change can occur. She works collaboratively with clients to ensure they take an active role in their therapy. Her orientation to the practice of psychotherapy is integrative where she uses a wide variety of techniques to help clients reach their goals.

MS, LMHC, SUDPT, EMDR II, CSAT-C
Karen has a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Seattle Pacific University. Karen is certified as an EMDR Level II clinician. She has additional training in Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention and other mindfulness practices. She has worked in the field for over twenty years including private sex addiction practice, treatment centers, inpatient psychiatry and emergency rooms, and outpatient substance use disorder treatment.
Karen has been in recovery since 2012 and understands the sometimes complex road in recovery for those individuals who experience substance use disorders, sex and love addiction, trauma, and mood and anxiety disorders like PTSD. She believes the path of wellness involves addressing all of the issues that get in the way of a wholly lived life with quality sobriety.
